Julie Haghandish

Physiotherapist

I completed my Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in 2019 after achieving a Major in Psychology at the University of Manitoba in 2016.

I have always had an interest in rehabilitation.  I have worked in various hospital wards including orthopedic surgery, geriatrics, psychiatry, nephrology, and in private physiotherapy clinics focusing on sports medicine after completing my diploma in Rehabilitation Techniques in 2011. Gaining experience in these settings led me to realize that I had more to accomplish. I wanted to deepen my knowledge in order to help provide advanced care to individuals, and therefore decided to pursue the fascinating field of physiotherapy as a career.

My main area of interest has now steered towards general orthopedic rehabilitation, in which I am trying to expand my expertise through advanced manual therapy courses. I am  also interested in helping individuals with brain injuries/concussions, vestibular and cardiorespiratory conditions.

In my free time, I am an outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy hiking and snowshoeing with my husband and our energetic Labrador, as well as spending time with my family at the cottage in New Brunswick; fishing, kayaking, and playing horseshoe. I am also a recreational soccer player.

Rest assured that with my jolly, emphatic, personable and professional manner, I will happily help you towards accomplishing your goals, improving your well-being and optimizing your quality of life.
