What Is Incontinence?
Urinary incontinence means any involuntary loss of urine. According to the Canadian Continence Foundation, 1.5 million Canadians are incontinent.
Common Misconceptions:
- It is a misconception to think it is normal to have urinary leakage after childbirth
- It is a misconception to think it is normal to have urinary leakage as you age
- It is a misconception to think there is nothing you can do about urinary leakage

- 1 in 4 women are incontinent; 1 in 2 women at some point in their life cycle experience some urinary incontinence
