Mélissa Churma
Physiotherapist
I obtained my Bachelor in Human Kinetics in 2015 and my Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in 2017. My desire to help others led me to continue deepening my knowledge through various specialized training. Over the years, I have focused my skills particularly on vestibular treatments, concussions, manual therapy, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation for the elderly and athletes.
Coming from a bilingual family in Saint-Hyacinthe, I have always wanted to use this linguistic advantage to help those in need. That’s why I chose to pursue my studies in a neighboring province, hoping to provide quality and comforting services to both Francophones and Anglophones in the Ontario region. I am deeply proud to contribute to the well-being and fulfillment of the residents of the Plantagenet community.
The arrival of my daughter in 2022 brought a new chapter to my personal and professional life. Now back in Saint-Hyacinthe, I have the pleasure and opportunity to offer physiotherapy services remotely. In close collaboration with our talented clinical assistants, I supervise rehabilitation sessions in the clinic, providing personalized and attentive follow-up to each patient. We work hand in hand to establish effective and tailored treatment plans for each individual, ensuring significant progress towards their therapeutic goals.
In addition to in-clinic sessions, I also offer telehealth consultations, providing a convenient alternative for those who prefer the comfort of their homes. These virtual sessions are not just physiotherapy appointments but interactive experiences, focused on education and active patient involvement in their healing process. My goal is to create an environment where patients feel supported, heard, and understood, encouraging them to fully engage in their recovery.
