Myriam Pelletier

Physiotherapist

I obtained my Bachelor in Human Kinetics in 2017 and my Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in 2020. I plan to continue to further my knowledge through a variety of post-graduate courses. I am particularly interested in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation and active therapy.

I’ve always been passionate about physical activity. Incidentally, I danced competitively for Extravadanse in Rockland for many years. In 2012, I took a 3 year program through A.D.A.P.T. to become a certified jazz and tap-dance instructor. I taught in a number of studios throughout the region at both the recreational and elite levels in all age groups. I intend to continue teaching dance, incorporating the concepts I’ve learned in biomechanics and the anatomy of the human body, placing emphasis on injury prevention.

During my studies, I had the opportunity to participate in an internship for FitQuest, a company that works with student athletes of the CIHA school in Rockland. During this internship, I learned a great deal about off-ice training programs for hockey players as well as the rehabilitation of a variety of injuries for this particular group. At the end of my internship, I obtained employment as a trainer for off-ice summer camps at CIHA. I filled this position for two summers.

In my free time, I enjoy training in kickboxing and jiu-jitsu with the 100% Martial Arts Club. I also do weightlifting. I am proud to be able to help people in my community to improve their well-being and their quality of life by being an active participant in their rehabilitation.

Important Announcement

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our Cumberland location, which will likely occur gradually until July 1st, 2024. After much consideration and evaluation, we have come to this difficult decision due to several reasons, most notably the challenges we have faced with staffing.

The decision to close our Cumberland location was not made lightly. We have explored various options to address the staffing issues, but unfortunately, we have not been able to find a sustainable solution that would allow us to continue operations at this location.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our clients who have trusted us with their care over the years. It has been a privilege to serve the Cumberland community, and we are truly grateful for your support and loyalty.

For our clients who still require physiotherapy services, we encourage you to visit our main location in Plantagenet, where our team remains committed to providing the highest quality care. We are also available to assist you in transferring your care to another clinic if needed.

Once again, we thank you for your understanding and support during this challenging time. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
